Northern Grit
Established in 2014, Edward Stuttard set out to diversify his long established business as a specialist importer of engineered components. An enthusiast for vehicles of interest and outdoor pursuits, he coupled these passions with his importing expertise. Located between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National parks, his aim was to create an alternative 4WD option. One with the opportunity for people with active lives to acquire a 4WD MPV with true off-road ability and carrying capacity at an affordable price. Following successful growth on reputation, in October 2019 we moved into our purpose built unit and our passion for these vehicles has extended to the latest Delica D5 model. In 2023 Ed's son Oscar joined the business direct from school, bringing new impetus and some fresh ideas to appeal to the younger generation. Nothing delights us more than preparing each and every vehicle to the highest standard and handing them over to our discerning customers for many years of Adventure!

Since 2019 the business has become a family affair! Meet the AMV family, Edward, Justine and their three children, Tilda, Oscar and Willem, proudly modelling our AMV shirts and other accessories.
It's a family affair! For 2023 we are delighted to announce that Oscar will be part of our team to help develop AMV for the future. Oscar has lived and breathed Delica's from an early age, travelling within Europe on many an adventure. He brings a wealth of key skills.
Our Customers
We take pride in the vehicles we hand pick to import and supply to customers with active lives who want carrying capacity, true off road ability, reliability and flexibility, all for a reasonable price. The flexibility of these vehicles appeals to a whole host of active people from divers, pot holing enthusiasts, landscape photographers, climbers and cyclists to families who live in the countryside and want a 4WD vehicle with carrying capacity that can cope with all that the Northern winter can throw at it. We are a small business and operate a personable one to one service.
