THE SPARK THAT STARTED AMV....
A very young Oscar (and a younger looking Ed! ) meeting his GREAT UNCLE BRIAN for the very first time at the Goodwood festival of speed! Inspecting a very famous Porsche racing car. There was never any doubt that the spark would continue into the future!
AMV 4X4 PERFORMANCE
At AMV we have a long history of involvement in motorsport. Indeed, Edward's passion for vehicles of interest started at a very young age. The seed was planted as his Uncle Brian Redman, a hugely successful sports car driver and world champion in formula 5000, took part in races at the Le mans 24 hours, Nürburgring, Watkins Glen and of course tracks in the UK, Brands Hatch and Oulton Park to name just a few. As a young lad, he received memorabilia sent from Brian from many of the races he competed in. Later in life Ed competed with his late father John in classic road rallies in a 1964 MK1 Morris Cooper and latterly in a 1967 MK1 Triumph GT6. Oscar learnt to drive by competing in the Warton Stock car clubs 'junior mini stocks'. Marcus continues to navigate in several classic Escorts, most notably completing the gruelling Roger Albert Clark rally in 2023 in a MK1 Escort Mexico. He has just returned from Morrocco navigating in a Fiat Panda! This background of passion for motorsport has led to AMV importing and preparing 4X4 performance cars with motorsport heritage. These complement the 4X4 Delica, offering another dimension.
