The most famous Delica L400 in the country!

5 years ago, landscape photographer Thomas Heaton called Edward to discuss importing and preparing a Delica L400. He wanted it prepared to the highest standard and wanted long term support, if and when required. Tom confirmed it would be used for his photography adventures. We had a couple available, but both were already sold. So, the search was on to find Tom his perfect 4X4 companion for his photography exploits. This fabulous black over grey Delica was methodically prepared over many weeks and we fitted a new curtain set, towbar, BF Goodrich tyres and an upgraded Pioneer head unit at Tom’s request. Throughout the years, this L400 served Tom so well with bullet proof reliability he could count on, travelling to Iceland through Scandinavia, Ireland and of course all over the UK. It featured in a huge number of his YOU-TUBE films and the combination of it’s 4WD capability, adaptability and comfort got him and his equipment to places that few other vehicles could match. Over the last 5 years we have looked after this Delica for Tom with servicing, underbody waxing and also prepared it for his trip to Iceland with the addition of the snorkel.

Tom contacted us to ask if we would like to purchase it back now that he required a much larger vehicle. He wanted it re-preparing again and wanted us to find someone who would get as much enjoyment and use out of it as he did. We are therefore now in the midst of preparing it for it’s next adventure with a new owner. It has at least another 250,000 miles of life in it and we are selling it as a ‘prepared blank canvas’. It retains the superb mid row captains seating with an interior ready for conversion. Alternatively, it could be used as is with huge carrying capacity. We offer a wide range of conversion options with our conversion partner from a new floor ready for your own conversion right up to a full conversion and everything in between.

This is our second stunning Subaru Impreza WRX STI which we have imported after a huge amount of interest in the first. With a low mileage of just 62650 miles, like our 4X4 Mitsubishi's, we are now in the midst of preparing this to the very highest of standards to make this WRX STI one of the very best in the UK. These Japanese versions are particularly sought after due to the pedigree of the famous 2 litre engine which was used so successfully in rallying. In Japan the fuel has different additives and different octane level to the UK's 98/99 SUPER. We are lucky enough to be around the corner from Subaru performance specialist TEG SPORT. Having been 2009 team champions and 2010 drivers champions on the British rally championship they have had huge success. So, utilising their expertise our Subaru has been remapped for the UK and given a clean bill of health, an important part of the AMV preparation.
